I purchased a velpax indoor propane instant water heater. I have a few questions not addressed in the literature.
Question: - Is having a regulator on my propane hose necessary or is a straight factory propane supply hose without a regulator acceptable? Nowhere in any documentation or pictures does it mention or show one. If I do need one, is there a type that will not over-limit the flow of gas. I need this unit to be able to reach its upper temperature without being impeded.
I would like to install this unit on a wall in the corner of my laundry room. The right side of the unit will be about an inch from that wall. To be able to vent out that side wall with the supplied vent pipes the unit needs to be that close to that wall. All other sides have very sufficient clearances. My other two options as I see them is to buy more exhaust pipe that gives me 6-12 more inches or vent it straight back thru wall it's mounted to. The drawback there is that it would vent into my large unused garage area.

Answer: Pressure must be regulated using a pressure reducing valve to remain below 3000 Pa.
Recommendation: The combined length of the extension pipe and the supplied exhaust pipe should not exceed 2 meters. Exceeding this length may cause exhaust difficulties, machine overheating, and trigger fault alerts.
